Dr. Restum received a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Oakland University in 1974 and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Wayne State University in 1982. Dr. Restum was on staff at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital and had a long-standing affiliation with the Detroit Medical Center and WSU’s Department of Psychiatry. His research experience includes teacher-student interactions, social skills training, and psychotherapy effectiveness.
Dr. Restum regularly participates in training programs on various childhood psychiatric conditions. His clinical practice includes adults and couples as well as children. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Michigan Psychological Association, and was a longtime supporter of the Michigan Association for Emotionally Disturbed Children.
